Spytkowice is a village in Wadowice County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Spytkowice. It lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) north of Wadowice and 33 km (21 mi) west of the regional capital Kraków. The village has a population of 3,700. Wadowice County (Polish: powiat wadowicki) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Lesser Poland Voivodeship, southern Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998.
