Selma Township is a civil township of Wexford County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,915 at the 2000 census. According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 36.1 square miles (93.4 km²), of which, 34.4 square miles (89.2 km²) of it is land and 1.6 square miles (4.2 km²) of it (4.49%) is water.As of the census of 2000, there were 1,915 people, 757 households, and 548 families residing in the township. The population density was 55.6 per square mile (21.5/km²). There were 1,086 housing units at an average density of 31.5 per square mile (12.2/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 97.13% White, 0.63% Native American, 0.99% Asian, 0.10% Pacific Islander, 0.31% from other races, and 0.84% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.68% of the population.
