Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Pennsylvania Route 161 was an 4-mile (6.4 km) long state highway that ran along Chichester Avenue in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The southern terminus was at PA 452 in Linwood. The northern terminus was at US 322 in Chelsea. It was not replaced by any route. Depending on the state, state highway may be used for one meaning and state road or state route for the other. A third meaning, used in some countries such as New Zealand, uses the word "state" in its sense of a nation. By this meaning a state highway is a road maintained and numbered by the national government rather than local authorities.
