George Coe (Born 1929) is an American film, stage, and television actor. He is best known for having been a cast member on the first three episodes of Saturday Night Live, as well as for his work on various television shows. In 1970 he originated the role of David in the original broadway cast of George Furth and Stephen Sondheim's Company. Coe was also an original member of the "Not Ready For Prime Time Players," the original cast of Saturday Night Live, but he was only credited as a cast member for the first three shows (October 11, 18, and 25 of 1975), often as an announcer in fake commercials. Coe was used in several other episodes of SNL, but was never again credited.
