Blurb/Shorttext:
Heart disease is considered as the first leading cause of death in the world. About 600,000 people die of heart disease in the United States every year–that’s 1 in every 4 deaths. Coronary heart disease alone costs the United States $108.9 billion each year. This total includes the cost of health care services, medications, and lost productivity. Magnesium has very important role in proper functioning of the human body, especially the cardiovascular system. It's well known that lowering blood pressure and cholesterol reduces the risk of dying of heart disease, but in this book we focused on dietary magnesium intake and its magic role in prevention of coronary heart disease. The book based on a hospital based case control study to identify the impact of dietary magnesium intake and it's relation to inflammatory indicator called C-reactive protein among newly diagnosed patients with coronary heart disease at middle zone of Gaza Strip, Palestinian territories.
