The aim of this research is to investigate the role of intermediaries, who are involved in supporting companies within the Belgian innovation landscape. Intermediaries may have insights about whether companies, for instance, were hindered in implementing available measures due to complicated application procedures or due to other reasons. In addition, it can be examined to what extent these intermediaries advise their SME clients on available innovation support measures, such as R&D tax incentives as well as R&D subsidies, and whether these intermediaries are an underexploited channel that needs to be improved.
