Sri Raja Rajeshwari (also Sree Raja Rajeshwari) is a 2001 Tamil religious film directed by Bharati Kannan and starring Ramya Krishna, Ramki, Sangavi, and Banupriya. Raja Rajeshwari (Ramya Krishnan) and Raja (Ramki) are an indigenous couple who are married at the beginning of the film. They are ardent devotees of the Goddess Naagathaa. But on their wedding night, three industrialists (Nizhalgal Ravi, Thyagu, and Ponnambalam) intervene, thinking that Ramya Krishnan is a prostitute. A fight ensues between them and both Raja and Raja Rajeshwari are killed in front of their statue of Naagathaa. With her dying breath, Raja Rajeshwari swears that she will avenge the three industrialists itheir next life. Raja Rajeshwari is born again with the powers of godess Nagatha. One by One she kills the three men and to find out that Raja has been reborn as someone else who is due to marry Sanghavi. Rajeshwari wants to marry Raja again and will do anything to marry him. But Sanghavi prays to Vekkali amman and saves her marriage.
