Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. This is a list of destinations served by Trans World Airlines at the time of its closure. Destinations served by Trans World Express and Trans World Connection (as American Eagle Airlines) do not appear here. In 2001 American Airlines took over TWA. Trans World Airlines (TWA) was a major United States domestic airline and the main US competitor of on intercontinental routes from 1946 until deregulation in the late 1970s. It was bought out and merged with American Airlines in 2001. TWA had hubs in St. Louis and New York City (JFK) for much of its history, with focus cities in Kansas City, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Los Angeles at times. In the 1980s it built up a hub in Atlanta, an operation which was reduced in the 1990s.
