There is currently considerable interest in the profession of internal audit and its contribution to exact management of any business economic resources and become an indispensable internal control mechanism in the organizations. The study used survey questionnaire for collecting the primary data which is distributed for seventy managers of the organizations. The finding of the study showed that the traditional compliance with rules and regulations; monitoring the internal control system and assessing the reliability of the organization’s financial reporting was considered the most important role of internal audit department in the organizations.
