Spyridium vexilliferum (Winged Spyridium) is a shrub in the family Rhamnaceae, endemic to South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania and New South Wales in Australia. It grows to between 0.3 and 0.9 metres in height and produces small white flowers between September and January in its native range. The species is classified as "rare" under the TCP Act in Tasmania. Rhamnaceae, the Buckthorn family, is a large family of flowering plants, mostly trees, shrubs and some vines. The family contains 50-60 genera and approximately 870-900 species. The Rhamnaceae have a worldwide distribution, but are more common in the subtropical and tropical regions. The earliest fossil evidence of Rhamnaceae is from the Eocene.
