Otto Kohlermann (17 February 1896 – 27 February 1984) was a highly decorated Generalleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. The Wehrmacht (English: literally, Defensive Might, or more accurately, Defence Forces – from German: wehren, to defend and die Macht, the might/power) were the unified armed forces of Nazi Germany from 1935 to 1945. It consisted of the Heer (army), the Kriegsmarine (navy) and the Luftwaffe (air force).
