Through this scientific work, the author draws the parallels and analogies between the most important monuments of Romanesque sculptures from Poland, especially the bronze doors in Gniezno, and stylish decorations of Serbian medieval monuments. Through the conducted analysis and comparison, he proves the evident influence of polish Romanesque art, on the appearance of these stylistic forms on our territories. From this new perspective of mutual linkage of European cultural heritage, expressed in the unity and diversity of certain stylistic epochs, dr Velimir Matanović, through critical point of view, of the past historiographic interpretations, builds a road for other researchers for the new studies of significance and influence of Central European art in the period of Middle Age. Dr Mirjana Roter Blagojević, Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade.
