"Eck" Allen (c. 1912, Oldtown, Kentucky - September 2, 1997) was an American college sports coach and a running back for the West Virginia Mountaineers football team. He was the head coach of the Brown University men's basketball team from 1938 to 1941, the University of Maine's football team in 1941 and from 1946 to 1948, and the Black Bears' men's basketball team from 1945 to 1949. The running back (RB) is the position of a player on an American or Canadian football team who usually lines up in the offensive backfield.
