Notas y citas / Texto breve:
Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Squaw Creek is a creek located in the Atlin Country region of British Columbia. The creek is located partly in the Yukon and partly in British Columbia. The creek is 8 miles in length and flows into the Tatshenshini River approximately 10 miles from Old Dalton Post. In 1927 a Klukshu Native called Paddy Duncan discovered gold in Squaw Creek. First Nations people staked the entire creek. This made Squaw Creek the only creek in British Columbia controlled by First Nations people. Between 1927 and 1931 the First Nations people worked the creek. By 1932 there were Europeans working the creek. The largest gold nugget recovered from the creek weighed just over 46 ounces in 1937. Total gold production did not exceed $150,000 from this creek.
