Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Relaxation Labeling is an image treatment methodology. Its goal is to associate a label to the pixels of a given image or nodes of a given graph. The method relies on the fact that pixels which should be labelled in the same way tend to be near each other. Thus when a pixel is identified as having a high probability to be associated with a given label, the probability that its neighbour's pixels should be associated with the same label is increased.
